Terminator 2: Judgement Day movie review

Terminator 2: Judement Day Film Analysis
Terminator 2: Judgement Day is an American science fiction action film sequel to The Terminator directed by James Cameron in 1984 and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film follows a cyborg assassin sent back from the future to kill Sarah Connor and her son who is the leader of the Resistance in the future. They are protected by a less advanced cyborg. The success and critical acclaim of this film led to a continuation of the instalments.
The characters portrayed are wearing worn out clothes which suggests they have just had a battle. This viewpoint is supported by the fact the characters are also being within personal distances of each other which imply they are acquaintances and have fought battle together.
The facial expressions of the characters as well as their posture suggest the exhaustion they are experiencing. Their facial expression is also emphasised by the dullness of their clothing which doesn’t draw the attention of the viewer. Icons used throughout the film such as the characters half robot face and the woman’s utility belt help the viewer associate the film with the science fiction genre. As well as this and the shot features low key lighting which is often used in mysteries. There is indoor florescent lighting on the wall and a hanging rail which sets the scene of an industrial area.
