Mise en Scene analysis
The characters portrayed are wearing casual clothing of which teenagers would be associated with. Icons such as earphones and hoodies make the audience associate the characters with teenagers.

The characters are all in a full front position; looking in our direction which invites the viewer’s complicity. The characters are also personal distances apart which imply they are friends or acquaintances.

The character in the middle is positioned closer to the camera and is the biggest object in the frame and centred in the middle of the frame which draws the audience attention to him and implies he is more important. As well as this, while the background is white he is wearing black white also makes him stand out because they are two contrasting colours. Furthermore, the other two characters are perceived to be in the shadow of the man in the middle or inferior as while he is well lit they aren’t.

The facial expressions of the characters suggest they are about to face confrontation. This is supported by their posture which also suggests they are preparing for confrontation. The eye view level angle gives us the clearest view of their facial expressions.

The show is a mystery series and the medium shot features low key lighting which is often used in mysteries. There is indoor florescent lighting on the wall and a hanging rail which sets the scene of a changing room.
